Thank you to everyone who participated in clix.vc (and is loyal enough to check back to this regularly), to help make it the project that it was. Through its earlier days it really did show signs of having potential to be one of the best. However in the end we were forced to close down by our host, as we used up too much server resources, as, for the last 2 to 3 months of clix.vc it was stored on a $4/month server.
This was because of an infamous bug "the ad bug" which meant that any refreshing ads were not refreshing. Why did i not just have freshing ads only? people will ask. It was because i believe that there were advertisers (and there was) who didn't want a person visting there site over and over again, who wanted unique impressions. Maybe this was my most foolish mistake. Maybe i should've just be genericbux.com and sold referrals, not caring about my members at all. maybe. Also, this was not a "for profit" ditch, I have earned over $2,000 from clix.vc over the year(s) however 95% of it went back on the site, in the form of coders (=\) hosting, domains, advertising.
Anyway, since I've just gone slightly over it, here is complete story of why it is down
